We've got an atrophy of heart
An urge to denigrate
all the wonders of the world 'til they depart.
It really make me wonder if the stars ever glance back in reply
and questioned the essence of our beings
unified.
Who would've that the world was just another blessing in disguise
when there's several other acts that people criticize?

How long has it been since we gazed up at the sky to adore a gallery of masterful design?
Created by the atoms that still keeps us alive
The same type of plasma that allows us to thrive?
A mystery.
how strange it seems,
Brainwashed to "reason" by a simple regime
with growing numbers,
the world sinks under
hubris controls the supreme.

I wonder if the stars tried to come a little closer,
Hesitating,
coming back to their composure,
always waiting for the perfect moment
to explode in brilliance, a hushed adornment,
But fading away to the blackest canvas,
Inscrutability, the perfect arras
to hide the secrets of loss and love
buried in dust
from above
